Vijayawada: How to reach

Reaching Vijayawada by air

Vijayawada has its own international airport connected with major cities of India and the world. The airport is about 20 kilometers far from the city center. You can easily get a taxi from Vijayawada airport to reach your destination.

Please note, the Vijayawada airport was promoted to the international category only in 2017. Hence, the airport might lack connectivity with many foreign cities.

Reaching Vijayawada by train

There are regular trains from major cities of India to Vijayawada Junction railway station. It is one of the busiest railway stations of the country connecting the edges of the Indian subcontinent. From the railway station, you can take public transport like auto-rickshaw or private taxi to your stay.

Even the Volvo buses run from Hyderabad connecting Vijayawada and other cities of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

You can also self-drive or ride a private taxi from your city to Vijayawada as the road is smooth and well connected.
