Plan one day trip to Varanasi

If you have only one day to spend in Varanasi, it would be better if you reach Varanasi early in the morning. You can then start your day with taking a dip in the Panchganga Ghat, greeting Lord Vishwanath, visiting the Moti Jheel Palace, coming to the Monkey temple, and finally attending the evening aarti at the Dashashwamedh Ghat.
