How to reach Shirdi

Shirdi, a small town in the state of Maharashtra is a place filled with miracles of Sri Saibaba. It is an important pilgrimage of the followers of Sai faith. Sri Saibaba temple, for which Shirdi is famous for is also one of the richest temple in India. If you wish to visit Shirdi, following are the possible routes-

Reaching Shirdi via air

The nearest airport to Shirdi is the Aurangabad airport. It is about 130 kilometers and will take around 3 hours to reach Shirdi by road. You can book airport taxi from Aurangabad to Shirdi for comfortable travel. The Aurangabad airport is a domestic airport and you can get connecting flights from major airports in India like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, etc.

Reaching Shirdi via train

The nearest railway station to Shirdi is Kopergaon railway station. It is 13 kilometers far from the city. You can get local transport like auto-rickshaw or bus to reach the city centre. There are private buses available from the station to drop you exactly at Sri Saibaba temple parking. Also, the Kopergaon railway station is connected to some of the main cities of India. Reaching Shirdi via road

If you prefer to travel to Shirdi via road, there are two possible options. One is you can take the state travel buses or private agent bus from Nashik, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, and Pune.

Two, you can book private cab to Shirdi from your place. The fares of AC buses and intercity taxi are competitive. If you have family to travel with, then private cabs are even more reasonable. You can easily book one way cab from cities like Pune, Nashik, Mumbai to Shirdi.
