Ayodhya, near Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh just 134 km from Lucknow, making it an ideal gateway for the history and heritage of it.  The ancient city of India famous for Lord Rama’s birthplace according to the epic Ramayana. It had been of the largest city of ancient India. The Ramayana portrays the splendor of the city, the virtues of the monarchs, and the loyalty and prosperity of the people. For Jainism Ayodhya is sacred place because Jain scripture relates that five Tirthankars, including the founder of Jainism and the first Tirthankar, Shri Rishabh Dev, lived in Ayodhya.

There are several places to visit at Ayodhya. Ramkot, Mani Parvat, Lakshmana Ghat are some of the tourist attractions here. Temples like Kanak Bhavan temple, Nageshwarnath temple, Treta ke Thakur, Vijayraghaw temple and Choti chawni are some mus-see.

Ram Janmabhumi,Ramayana states that river Sayaru’s bank is the birthplace of lord Rama. The 7th avatar of Vishnu, Lord Rama is believed to be taken birth here.

Mani Parbat in Ayodhya is at a height of 65ft. It is believed to be a part of the hill of Sanjeevani booti that lord Hanuman carried.
