Call it hiking or a simple walk around nature, the experience is just awesome. Fresh air, no bustling noise of the city, and the green landscape is sufficient to rejuvenate oneself. You can head out towards the pine and deodar forest with your camera and water and who knows an amazing anecdote is waiting for you on your trail.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bird watching<\/span><\/h2>\n

If you are a morning person, you can simply find a comfortable place near your stay and indulge in bird watching. The chirping birds in the sky during sunrise is an experience in itself. The species of the birds in Almora is different from what we see in the city.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can also visit <\/span>Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary<\/span><\/a> for a deeper insight into birdwatching and photography. It is only a few kilometers far from Almora and you can easily find a Taxi to take you to the place. <\/span><\/p>\n

Biking<\/span><\/h2>\n

Biking is a preferred activity in Almora, which takes the rider along the thin hilly tracks, sometimes uphill, sometimes downhill. You can also rent a bike and accessories and start your expedition. We bet you will be overwhelmed by the orchids, lush-green lands, and blue colored mountain views.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you have a flair for adventure, you can hop on to a mini-trek in Almora. One of the popular treks is Ranikhet Road to Katarmal which covers a distance of about 3 kilometers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before starting the trek, we suggest keeping the route map and other necessary information with you. Although the trek is smooth and suitable for beginners, it is better to move in a group rather than heading out solo.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bonus:<\/b> If you happen to visit Almora in the month of September, then schedule your trip to attend the Nanda Devi festival. It is one of a kind festival and fair and continues for days.<\/span><\/p>\n
