MUMBAI \u2013 GOA<\/strong><\/a>: Goa in the monsoons is cheap, not very crowded and wonderfully green. The 500-kilometres is a delightfully picturesque drive, with paddy fields, coconut palms and areca\u00a0nut plantations. You can stop by at Karnala\u00a0Bird Sanctuary, home to over 150 species \u2013 Drongos, Paradise flycatchers, Red-vented bulbuls and more. Chiplun in Ratnagiri District is a popular halfway halt for most Bombay-Goa travellers. The Western Ghats offer a wonderful view below the marshy tracts around the Vashishti River.<\/p>\n

MUMBAI-SHIRDI<\/a>: <\/strong>Sai Baba\u2019s Samadhi is situated in Shirdi, making it one of the most visited religious places in India. Visitors can travel to Mumbai and then take a cab till Shirdi directly from the Mumbai Airport. \u00a0The small village of\u00a0Shani Shingnapur known for its custom of not locking doors and Chavadi-Sai Baba’s resting place during the last few years of his life are worth a visit.<\/p>\n

MUMBAI-MAHABALESHWAR<\/a>: <\/strong>Nearly a 5-hour drive from the main city, Mahabaleshwar is a popular holiday hill station and honeymoon spot in the Western Ghats of India. There are many tourist attractions in Mahabaleshwar like forts, temples, lakes and waterfalls. Some of them being Pratapgarh Fort, Venna Lake, Krishna Temple and Lord Mahabaleshwar Temple.<\/p>\n
