Tezpur literally translates to the city of blood. Legends say that this place encountered the epic battle between Lord Krishna\u2019s army and Banasura to rescue the grandson of Lord Krishna- <\/span>Aniruddha<\/span><\/a>. Banasura was the eldest son of Bali and Lord Shiva\u2019s devotee. The temples and sculptures of Tezpur convey this story.<\/span><\/p>\n
