Shimla is a beautiful place, called as a heaven on earth. One would, of course, like to spend days in Shima, but if you have only a day\u2019s time in here, you can visit the following places.<\/span><\/p>\n

This museum was opened in 1974. It showcases ancient sculptures, paintings, ethnic dresses, musical instruments, ornaments, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a second oldest church in North India. The Christ Church of Shimla displays neo-gothic style of architecture in a romantic surrounding. <\/span><\/p>\n

You can also stroll around the Ridge, which is a large open space located at the center of Shimla.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jakhoo is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Since it is situated on the Jakhoo hill, it is named so. The temple encompasses beautiful landscape.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Rashtrapati Niwas of Shima was formerly a summer home for the British Viceroys of India. It is also known as Viceregal lodge. The present day, it is owned by <\/span>Indian Institute of Advanced Study<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a narrow gauge railway route from Kalka to Shimla. The route traverses through dramatic hill views and villages. It is also one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites in India.<\/span><\/p>\n
