Ujjain is one of the holy cities of India. The main attractions in Ujjain include Mahakaleshwar temple, Ram Mandir Ghat, Harsiddhi temple, Kal Bhairav temple, to name a few. You can <\/span>reach Ujjain from Indore airport<\/span><\/a>, or you can avail state transportation buses. Railways in Ujjain are also well connected. You can even book intercity cab from major cities of Madhya Pradesh.<\/span><\/p>\n

The city of Maheshwar is situated on the banks of river Narmada. It is known as a city of temples and is largely famous for the handlooms. Almost every alternate home in Maheshwar is into weaving handlooms. Maheshwar is about 95 kilometers far from Indore and you can easily get intercity cab, trains, and buses to reach the place. You can <\/span>reach Maheshwar from Indore<\/span><\/a> in minimum time (approx 2 hours) by travelling via road.<\/span><\/p>\n

This place is also known as mini Varanasi. Omkareshwar and Indore are about 80 kilometers far from each other. The place is famous for the Omkareshwar temple, dedicated to lord Shiva.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sanchi is an important Buddhist pilgrimage site. The famous Sanchi Stupa is also an UNESCO listed world heritage monument. The major sites in this place include Sanchi Stupa, Ashoka pillar, The Great Bowl, and the Eastern Gateway. Sanchi is 4 hours run from Indore. <\/span><\/p>\n

Kanha National Park<\/span><\/h2>\n

Kanha National Park is located around the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh. The place encompasses a rich diversity of animals and plants. Many endangered species are also preserved here. It is a great place for wildlife camping, walking trails, picnics, animal spotting, etc. It is quite far (about 6 hours run) from Indore, but a perfect place to spend weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n
