The cuisine in Goa is majorly the coastal and seafood. There are three different influences in Goan food. One, the Hindu influence because of the origin. Two, the Portuguese influence, they colonised the state for about four hundred years. And three, the Muslim influence who ruled the state before Portuguese invasion. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a popular meat dish in Goa. Vindaloo comes from the Portuguese tradition in Goa. It is a meat served in thick gravy made of coconut milk and traditional spices. People say- once you eat Vindaloo, you would not want the meat to be cooked any other way. <\/span><\/p>\n

Kismur is a fish side dish. People generally use shrimps and mackerel for making Kismur. The fish is dried and prepared with onion and coconut. It is a popular Goan dish that depicts the Hindu influence. You can also find the tinch of chilli pepper, which is also present is most of the Goan dishes. <\/span><\/p>\n

Bebinca is the traditional Goan pudding, derived from the Catholic Kitchen. It is made from flour, sugar, butter, and coconut milk. The pudding has seven layers and is topped with syrups like honey or maple. It is indeed a favourite dessert of the locals and tourists as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can also try the Goan one plate fish meal called as Fish Thali. The platter generally contains fish or baby prawn curry with rice as main. The fried fish and baby clams are served as sides. The platter is accompanied with kokum water, pickle, and salad.<\/span><\/p>\n
