You can observe special celebration for the Gauri festival especially at the Trilokinath temple in Udaipur. The festival falls in the <\/span>third week of August<\/i><\/b> every year. It is a three days festival and Hindus and Buddhists participate in this festival. On the second day of the festival, people take out procession of the deity. A three day local fair is held in the outskirts of the city. You can enjoy the local culture and do shopping for the traditional handicrafts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mewar festival is celebrated to welcome the spring season after harsh, cold winters. People walk in groups in the streets in colorful attire. The festival ends with amazing fireshow. The main areas in Udaipur to witness this event include- Bagore ki Haveli and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shilpgram is a small crafts village in Udaipur, very close to the Fateh Sagar Lake. The village is established to promote handicrafts and rural art forms. The Shilpgram Utsav is a 10 days celebration, inviting art and culture from the neighbouring states like Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Rajasthan itself. The festival is celebrated every year in the month of December. It is a great event to get a sneak peek into the vanishing rural culture.<\/span><\/p>\n
