The city of Golkonda lies 11 kilometers west of Hyderabad. It was the capital town of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. The fort of the ruler got its name after the town.<\/span><\/p>\n

Charminar is a 16th-century mosque of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The then ruler- Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah pledged before God to build a mosque if he helps to eradicate cholera, that was ravaging his city. God heard him and result – we see the Charminar.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Makkah mosque was also built by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah. People believe that the central arch of the mosque is made from the soil imported from the city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It took 77 years and 8000 workers to build the Makkah Masjid in Hyderabad.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Buddha Statue in Hyderabad is the largest monolith in the world. Monolith is a structure carved from a single piece of stone. It lies in the Hussain Sagar Lake of Hyderabad. One can reach the statue by boat.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Hazrat Ali Dargah<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Hazrat Ali Dargah lies on the Moula hill, which is about 614 meters tall. It is the only Dargah dedicated to the son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad. One needs to climb 484 steps from the bottom of the hill to reach the Dargah. The dargah has a beautiful interior, decorated with thousands of mirrors. It is also one of the 11 heritage sites in Hyderabad.<\/span><\/p>\n
