Belur Math is a monastery of the Ramakrishna Mission. It was founded by Swami Vivekananda with an aim to train his disciples in the mission\u2019s philosophy. Belur Math is known for its peaceful aura and relieving people of their griefs. If you get at a chance to visit Belur Math, here are the things that you should not miss.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attend evening aarti<\/span><\/h2>\n

The evening aarti is a prayer offered to Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa and mother Sarada Devi. During the aarti, the attendees sit and meditate. Attending the aarti is undoubtedly an out of the world experience. The timing for the evening aarti is 05:30 PM at the main shrine. A bell is rung to indicate the aarti timing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Visit Ramakrishna Museum \u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Museum exhibits a collection of articles, closely associated with Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Mother Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda, and the other direct disciples of the Ramakrishna Mission.<\/span><\/p>\n

Volunteer for the cause<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Sanyasis (monks) of the Belur Math are involved in the medical, educational, and rehabilitation services. One can volunteer or can join the cultural and spiritual programs at the Math.<\/span><\/p>\n
