Thandai and Lassi, both are made from milk. In Varanasi, you can find them in every streets. The vendors serve thandai and lassi in earthen pots called Kulhad instead of glass or ceramic mugs. Because of the earthen pots, you can feel the natural chill in these drinks and a tinch of flavor of mud. Chaat

Baati chokha is what people in Varanasi usually eat for lunch and dinner. Baati is wheat ball, either deep fried or baked and chokha is a mashed vegetable made from brinjal and potatoes.
